If you look at a freshly baked apple pie, you can see that it is beautiful and delicious. When you take a bite, colorful flavors fill your mouth and ignite your emotional system like fire works in the sky on the 4th of July. What do you think that same bite of pie would taste like if sugar was missed in the recipe? Much like this pie, your body needs ALL the ingredients to work in unison to function properly. If you focus on strength training for a specific muscle group and forget the opposing muscles which balance it, you end up, maybe looking great, but moving off balance. This can cause problems down the road. If you forget to change the oil in your car, it may last for a while, but eventually, the engine will get torn up. Why wouldn’t you want to give thought and attention to the only vehicle you have on this earth, your body, which takes you from the beginning of life to the end?
In my training programs, we focus on movement and strength in balance with your body and with respect to yourself as a living, breathing, moving human being. Movement is life and if you can move well by honing in on the right tools, you can tremendously increase the quality of your life!
